Doula Care and Postpartum Doula Support focused practice in Austin, TX, run by Parris, the owner and a mother of five amazing children. Her journey into doula work began early, as her passion for supporting mothers and children has been a lifelong commitment. She received her first doula training in high school, when she was asked to serve as a sibling doula for the children she babysat. From there, Parris found herself supporting teen mothers in her school community.
Parris' passion deepened when she faced a high-risk pregnancy and an extended NICU stay with her first child. Experiencing the complexities and challenges of new motherhood firsthand gave her a profound understanding of the importance of unwavering support, especially when birth doesn’t go as planned. In 2012, she pursued her DONA certification, transitioning to a full-time professional doula.
Now, with five children—her eldest thriving in high school and four younger daughters with beautiful birth stories—Parris continues to dedicate herself to providing compassionate care to families, driven by both her personal and professional experiences.
